Mission Statement

Carey graduated from Queen's Law in 2009. While studying at Queen's, she was an active member of the Queen's Legal Aid Clinic where she appeared before the Ontario Court of Justice as well as a variety of administrative tribunals in relation to both criminal and quasi-criminal matters. Carey was also a participant in the Queen's Correctional Law Project where she worked within the Kingston Penitentiary advocating on behalf of inmates in connection with Disciplinary Hearings as well as hearings before the National Parole Board.

Following graduation from Queen's, Carey articled with one of Ottawa's prominent civil law firms where her primary focus was civil litigation. In July, 2010, following her Call to the Bar, Carey joined May & Konyer to practice exclusively in the field of criminal law. Since joining the firm, Carey has assisted clients with a variety of matters including assaults, thefts, drug offences, driving offences and breaches of court orders while also working closely with senior counsel on a wide variety of serious offences.
