Experience

As a student and since being called to the Bar in 2007, Kate has had the pleasure of assisting clients in relation to many different offences, in many different cities and before a number of judges and tribunals.

Her cases typically include clients that have been charged with drug offences, thefts, assaults (including domestic assaults and sexual assaults), driving offences, fraud, weapons offences and breaches of court orders. She has also assisted clients who appear before the Ontario Review Board after they have been found Not Criminally Responsible and clients who appear before the National Parole Board after they have been sentenced.

While Kate's home base is in Ottawa, her practice has taken her to various cities such as Cornwall, L'Orignal, Brockville, Pembroke, and places in between. She has appeared before judges of the Ontario Court of Justice and the Superior Court of Justice.
